Overwhelming response to the unique initiative of immersing Ganpati idols in Gangajal<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pune: On behalf of Karmayog Pratishthan in association with Sou. Shraddhatai Goraksh alias Appa Parande Janahit Manch, a special Ganga Puja and Aarti ceremony was held today at Shri Janubai Devi Hall, Dhankawadi, Pune. The sacred water for Ganpati immersion was brought from the holy confluence of rivers at Triveni Sangam, Prayagraj. This is the only initiative of its kind in Maharashtra where Ganesh idols are immersed in Gangajal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


On this occasion, MLA Bhimrao Anna Tapkir, MLA Vijay Bapu Shivtare, Rashtrasant Bhau Maharaj Parande, Yoga Guru Deepak Shilimkar, Vaishali Shilimkar, Tatyasaheb Bhintade, Sou. Shraddhatai Goraksh Appa Parande, Monal Dugad, Gaurav Dugad, President Goraksh Appa Parande, Hanumant Parande and other dignitaries were present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Speaking about this unique initiative, Goraksh Appa Parande, President of Karmayog Pratishthan Sanlagna Sou. Shraddhatai Goraksh Appa Parande Janahit Manch, said:
\u201cFor the past five years, we have been conducting this initiative, and it has received an enthusiastic response from the citizens of the area. Last year, more than 6,800 Ganesh idols from both public mandals and households were immersed here. This year\u2019s special feature is that instead of Varanasi, from where we usually bring Gangajal every year, we brought tankers from Prayagraj due to the Kumbh Mela. Moreover, the Ganga Aarti was performed today in Pune by 11 priests who regularly perform it in Kashi. Our intent behind this initiative is that the immersion of Lord Ganesha, remover of obstacles, should take place in pure and sacred water.\u201d
MLA Vijay Shivtare said:
\u201cFor the past few years, Parande has been carrying forward this concept of Ganesh Visarjan in Gangajal. Today\u2019s Ganga Puja was a half-hour program that truly brought to light the essence of our Sanatan Dharma.
