Pune: The Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple located in Raviwar Peth is a historic temple dating back to the Peshwa period. The temple, adorned with traditional hanging lamps and chandeliers, continues to be a major attraction for devotees. As every year, a series of religious and cultural programs has been organized here to celebrate Tripurari Pournima.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Artists Sanjay Modak and Gauri Gumaste have created a striking 8×4 foot Rangoli depicting the revered spiritual master Shri Shankar Maharaj. This Rangoli will remain open for devotees to view for three days. The ancient fountain within the temple premises has also been activated on this occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the early morning, a Maha-Abhishek is performed for Shri Lakshmi Narayan, followed by adorning the deity with a new traditional attire. The idols are beautifully decorated with flowers. In the evening, the festival of lights Deepotsav is celebrated, marking Tripurari Pournima with devotion and joy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Annual festivals such as Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Shri Ram Navami, and Tripurari Pournima are celebrated in the temple with great enthusiasm. The temple administration and rituals have been devotedly maintained for generations by the hereditary priests Devash Gumaste and Gauri Rahul Gumaste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
