Pune: The Builders\u2019 Association of India (BAI), Pune Centre\u2014an important organisation in the field of public development projects and construction\u2014has announced the prestigious national-level annual competition, the Well Built Structure Competition. This is the 29th year of the competition, informed BAI Pune President Ajay Gujar during a press conference. Present on the occasion were BAI Maharashtra President Jagannath Jadhav, Secretary Manoj Deshmukh, Competition Coordinator Sunil Mate, Pune Centre Vice Presidents Rajaram Hajare and Mahesh Maydev, Secretary C.H. Ratlani, Treasurer Mahesh Rathi and other office bearers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ajay Gujar said, \u201cBAI Pune Centre is one of the most active and enthusiastic among more than 250 centres across the country. Throughout the year, various programmes such as study circles, seminars, workshops, student internship programmes, national competitions, and felicitation of meritorious contributors are organised. The Well Built Structure Competition is one of these prestigious initiatives. It honours the excellent and high-quality work carried out by contractors, construction professionals, and builders. The competition not only enhances the image of the construction industry but also motivates contractors to deliver superior quality work. The competition began in 1997.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sunil Mate said, \u201cThrough this event, contractors, builders, and young entrepreneurs who have done exceptional work are honoured and encouraged through various awards. The winners are selected entirely by an independent third-party jury panel. The panel includes experienced experts from diverse fields such as civil engineering, structural design, project management, architecture, building services, green building consultancy, and construction safety. Based on the entries received, the jury panel first conducts a primary screening. Selected candidates are informed and invited to present their projects at the BAI Pune Centre office. After this, the jury conducts site visits of the respective projects and evaluates them thoroughly based on adherence to all rules and criteria through a defined marking system.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
