Free distribution of sanitary napkins to girls from rural and remote areas<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pune: With the objective of creating widespread awareness about women\u2019s health and providing sanitary napkins to poor and needy girls from rural and remote areas, the Women\u2019s Charity Cricket League tournament was organised. A large number of sanitary napkins were collected during the event, which will be distributed free of cost to needy girls across the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tournament was organised by Kashish Social Foundation, with the support of Sangeeta Tai Tiwari\u2019s Bitiya Foundation and special cooperation from Sanket Shinde. Players and spectators were appealed to bring sanitary napkins, to which there was an overwhelming response. As many as 20,500 sanitary napkins were collected and will be distributed free of cost to needy women and girls. The Pune Municipal Corporation team also extended support by contributing sanitary napkins.
This cricket tournament, organised exclusively for women, saw participation from nine teams comprising women from various professions, including police personnel, lawyers, chartered accountants, municipal employees, models, social activists and journalists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the tournament, Bitiya Foundation\u2019s Gulabo Gang emerged as the winner, while SGC Chartered Champions (CA) finished as runners-up. Rupali Patil Thombre was honoured as the special player of the tournament.
The chief organiser of the tournament was Pune\u2019s \u201cPadman\u201d Yogesh Pawar. Entrepreneurs Krishnakumar Goyal, Dr. Sanjay Chordia of the Suryadatta Group, Sanket Shinde, Dr. Mahesh Thorve, Swati Jhungre, Raj Randive, Samita Tai Gore and Sangeeta Tiwari served as team owners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dignitaries present on the occasion included Milind Joshirao, CA Dr. Ketan Joglekar, Sarika Joglekar, Sangram Pawar, Sachin Bhaiya Dhivar, Gaurav Lakhani, Suraj Dhope, Hussain Chechadwala, Tejpal Wagh, Gauravraaj, Rishikesh Balgude, Chetan Chawda, Ketan Dhavde, Kiran Kamthe and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the successful conduct of the tournament, Smita Madhukar, Nilesh Vavare, Pournima Lunavat, Neel Rathod, Runal Jagtap, Mayur Ghag, Shubham, Omkar Jadhav and the entire team put in dedicated efforts.
