Two-day Exhibition Organized with the Support of Munitions India Limited on the Occasion of Republic Day<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pune: Strengthening the nation\u2019s defence preparedness, robust and indigenously developed weapons have been manufactured in Pune for the past 150 years. Munitions India Limited has been carrying out this important work, and now Punekars will get a unique opportunity to witness Indian-made weapons that are produced in Pune and exported to several countries across the world. On the occasion of Republic Day, this distinctive exhibition has been organized by the Shrimant Dagadusheth Halwai Sarvajanik Ganpati Trust and Suvarnayug Tarun Mandal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition will be held at the traditional Ganesh festival venue, Jai Ganesh Prangan, in front of Laxmibai Dagadusheth Halwai Dattamandir, Budhwar Peth, on January 25 and 26, 2026, from 10.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. The information was shared by Trust President Sunil Rasne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition will showcase weapons and ammunition used by the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force, along with models of various equipment essential for war preparedness. Defence personnel are actively involved in planning the exhibition, and visitors will be able to obtain detailed information about each weapon on the spot. Punekars will have the opportunity to see a wide range of weaponry, including grenades, bombs used in fighter aircraft, various types of rockets, artillery ammunition, different types of drones, multi-barrel launch systems, bullets, hand grenades, anti-submarine rockets, aerial bombs and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trust Treasurer Mahesh Suryavanshi stated that India\u2019s defence system is the fourth most powerful military force in the world, ranking after the United States, Russia and China. Pune is an important hub in India\u2019s defence ecosystem, housing institutions such as the National Defence Academy (NDA), College of Military Engineering (CME) and DRDO. Additionally, Munitions India Limited, based in Pune, plays a vital role in supplying weapons across the country. With their support, this exhibition has been organized. Entry to the exhibition is free of cost, and the Trust has appealed to school and college students, along with citizens of Pune, to visit the exhibition in large numbers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
