The donation was made in memory of Dr. Paranjape\u2019s parents, Late Bapusaheb (V.R. Paranjape) and Kamalabai Paranjape, reflecting the family\u2019s deep-rooted association with music and cultural traditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among the key dignitaries present were Ramesh Bhagwat, President of Shree Devdeveshwar Sansthan, along with Sunil Rasane, President of Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Sarvajanik Ganpati Trust, and Treasurer Mahesh Suryavanshi. Notably, Dr. Paranjape currently serves as Vice President of the Dagdusheth Ganpati Trust.
Representatives from Pune Bharat Gayan Samaj, including Shaila Datar, Shilpa Puntambekar, and Sawani Datar, along with Vikas Kashalkar and Radhika Jogalekar from Gopal Gayan Samaj, received the donation on behalf of their respective institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking at the event, Ramesh Bhagwat emphasized that Pune\u2019s growth as a cultural hub has been largely supported by generous patrons and donors. He highlighted the importance of proper utilization of funds to sustain and strengthen such institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mahesh Suryavanshi noted that organizations consistently contributing to the cultural fabric of the city deserve greater recognition and support. He also stressed the need to preserve Pune\u2019s identity as the cultural capital by actively promoting such initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sharing his personal connection, Dr. Paranjape recalled that his parents were closely associated with both institutions. He mentioned that legendary figures like Bal Gandharva had visited their home in the past, fostering a strong musical environment in the family. He expressed concern over the declining prominence of classical and semi-classical music and stated that supporting these institutions is a step towards nurturing the next generation of artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
