Pune: A grand and spiritually uplifting Datta Yajna was successfully conducted at Shree Ganesh Garden Lawns & Banquet on Sinhagad Road with the sacred intention of praying to Lord Dattatreya for world peace, prosperity, and the welfare of all living beings. Organized under the guidance of Sandhya Bhate, with the support of Datta devotees, well-wishers, and dedicated volunteers, the event witnessed the participation of 1008 couples during the auspicious period of Adhik Maas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The ceremony commenced with all participating couples collectively taking a sacred vow with devotion and faith. The yajna was then performed across nine havan kunds (sacred fire altars), enabling devotees to participate in the rituals in an organized manner. The event concluded with Aarti and Mahaprasad, which was lovingly distributed to all devotees, including those who attended only for darshan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The event was blessed by the presence of 21 priests (Gurujis), who conducted the rituals according to traditional Vedic practices and fulfilled the sacred intentions of the yajna. Under the guidance of Sandhya Bhate, volunteers rendered selfless service without any personal expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


It is the collective prayer of all participants that this yajna may serve as a humble medium for spreading peace, health, prosperity, and harmony in today\u2019s stressful and uncertain world. A resolve has also been made to organize another 1008 Datta Yajna during the next Adhik Maas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preparations are additionally underway for the next Datta Yajna in Bahrain, extending this sacred initiative beyond the borders of India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


In the Datta tradition, Lord Dattatreya is regarded as a compassionate deity who responds instantly to the sincere prayers of devotees. A yajna is considered a sacred spiritual practice through which divine blessings are transmitted subtly across vast regions. It is believed that these auspicious vibrations contribute to the upliftment, protection, and liberation of all beings.
This noble tradition was initiated and firmly established in the 1960s by the revered saint Narahari Prabhu Kale, affectionately known as Anna Maharaj. With the vision of spreading world peace and spiritual harmony, Anna Maharaj conducted 108 Datta Yajnas across India, laying the foundation for a spiritual movement rooted in devotion, service, and collective prayer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The tradition was later expanded by Shripad Prabhu Kulkarni (Appa Maharaj). Under his guidance, the sacred mission grew stronger, encouraging greater participation in collective spiritual practices for social welfare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Shri Vidyasagarji further elevated the tradition to national and international levels. He first organized 108 Datta Yajnas at a single venue on a single day during Adhik Maas, and later expanded the concept to 1008 Datta Yajnas. Through his tireless efforts, the spiritual message of Datta Yajna reached devotees across the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


After Vidyasagarji attained the feet of his Guru in 2021, his spiritual sister Sandhya Bhate took charge of this sacred mission with devotion, discipline, and humility. Under her guidance, the initiative continues to grow both in India and abroad. This year\u2019s Datta Yajna in Pune marked another significant milestone in this sacred tradition and its collective spiritual mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
