Marathi actors are making their mark not only in the Marathi film industry but also in Bollywood and Tollywood. Now, Marathi actress Pranjali Kanazharkar has made her debut in the Telugu film industry with ‘Dolly – Story of a Warrior’. In this movie, she plays the role of a boxer. The film is directed and written by K.K. Kiran Kumar Durga, produced by K. Kranthi, and the music is composed by Mahi Kondeti. The film features Pranjali Kanazharkar and K.K. Kiran Kumar Durga in lead roles, alongside actors Temper Vamshi, Rama Devi, Sridhar Reddy, and Yashwant Kosi Reddy. The entire film was shot in Hyderabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pranjali Kanazharkar has previously worked in Marathi films such as Baban, Ekdam Kadak, and Manomani, and has also appeared in the Hindi web series Chidiya Udd alongside Jackie Shroff. Now, with ‘Dolly – Story of a Warrior’, she is establishing her identity in the South Indian film industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking about her experience in the film, Pranjali says,
“After the COVID-19 pandemic, I was approached for the movie ‘Dolly.’ When I heard the story, I realized that there was no language barrier, so I immediately accepted the role. Since I was playing a boxer, I needed to be physically strong. I trained for a year for this film, and it was truly a dream come true.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Talking about her training for the role, she adds,
“The shooting of ‘Dolly’ took place in Hyderabad, and we trained in the same gym where the film was shot. For this role, I lost 8 kg, learned sign language, and even practiced writing with both hands. One of the songs in the movie was shot in a 100-year-old temple. The climax and fight sequences were filmed in heavy rain at the same time. I learned a lot from my first Telugu movie in just one role. Working with director K.K. Kiran Kumar Durga and the team was an amazing experience. ‘Dolly’ is receiving a fantastic response from the audience. I hope you continue to shower love on all my films.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
