Spread the love Inauguration of the Missing Link near Eklavya College Pune – Owing to the consistent follow-up and efforts of Hon. Chandrakant Patil, the long-pending missing link road issue, which had been stalled for the last 25 years, has finally been resolved. The missing link road connecting Eklavya College to the National Highway was inaugurated today. Earlier as well, the missing link connecting Erandwane Rajput Brick Kiln to the riverbed was widened and made traffic-friendly due to the efforts of Mr. Patil. To resolve the traffic congestion in the Kothrud constituency, Mr. Patil had made a firm commitment to complete all the missing link roads in the region. For this purpose, he held several meetings with the Municipal Commissioner and instructed the concerned authorities to resolve all pending obstacles.One of the major hurdles in completing the missing link from Eklavya College to the National Highway was land acquisition. Despite several meetings between municipal officials and the landowners, the process had reached a standstill. Therefore, Mr. Patil personally intervened, met with the landowner, resolved all concerns, and facilitated the transfer of the land to the Municipal Corporation. He also instructed the Municipal Corporation to complete the roadwork on priority. Accordingly, the construction of the road has now been completed and was inaugurated today. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Patil said that during the 2019 Assembly elections, it became clear that resolving the traffic congestion in Kothrud required completing the pending missing link roads. Hence, after the election, he actively pursued the matter. Land acquisition emerged as the primary obstacle, and through continuous dialogue with the landowners, the necessity of the road was explained. The Bandal family extended their cooperation for the land required for the link road from Eklavya College to the highway. As a result, the road is now ready and open for public use. He also expressed confidence that other pending roads in the constituency will be completed soon. Present at the inauguration were Municipal Road Department’s Aniruddha Pawaskar, landowners of the Bandal family, former corporators Kiran Dagade Patil and Dilip Vede Patil, former corporators Dr. Shraddha Prabhune-Pathak and Alpana Varpay, BJP Pune City General Secretary Puneet Joshi, Ganesh Varpay, District Planning Committee Member Dr. Sandeep Butala, Vidya Temkar, Girish Bhelke, Vaibhav Murkute, and several local residents.
