Members Reaffirm Their Trust in the Leadership of Meghraj Rajebhosale


Pune: The vote counting for the quinquennial elections of the Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Chitrapat Mahamandal has been completed, with the Samarth Panel, led by Meghraj Rajebhosale, securing a sweeping victory and once again establishing its dominance. With all candidates from the panel emerging victorious, members of the film fraternity have reaffirmed their confidence in the panel’s leadership and working style.


Elections were announced for 17 seats in the Mahamandal. Of these, three seats were elected unopposed, while voting was conducted for the remaining 14 seats. The Samarth Panel won all 14 contested seats, recording a decisive and comprehensive victory.


The Samarth Panel contesting under the leadership of Meghraj Rajebhosale included candidates Sunil Mahajan, Deepak Kadam, Ajit Shirole, Raj Kazi, Sushant Shelar, Dhanaji Yamkar, Subhash Nakashe, Sharad Chavan, Pravin Patil, Chaitrali Dongre, Ravindra Gavade, Ganesh Gargote, and Vikas Torane. All candidates secured victories, ensuring the election of the entire panel.


As a result, the executive committee led by the Samarth Panel will now take charge of the Mahamandal for the next five years. The victory provides the panel with an opportunity to work with renewed energy towards the development of the organization and the resolution of various issues faced by the Marathi film industry.
Reacting to the victory, Meghraj Rajebhosale said:


“During the election campaign, the opposition panel made several baseless allegations against us. However, today’s results clearly show that the members of the Mahamandal have rejected those allegations and expressed their faith in the work we have done over the past ten years. This victory is a recognition of our efforts. The trust shown by the members has given us greater motivation to work with even more dedication and commitment. I sincerely thank all the members of the Mahamandal. In the coming years, we will continue to work for the development of the organization and the welfare of the Marathi film industry while carrying every stakeholder along with us.”


Following the announcement of the results, office-bearers and supporters of the Samarth Panel celebrated the victory and thanked the members for their support. They also reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring transparent, development-oriented, and inclusive administration while working collectively for the growth of the Mahamandal and the Marathi film industry.
