Pune: A mesmerizing presentation of various songs in classical music, vividly depicting the essence of the Ramayana. The performance beautifully narrated different episodes of the Ramayana, including the birth of Lord Rama, Sita Swayamvar, Rama’s valor, Bharat’s outcry, Surpanakha’s encounter, the construction of Ram Setu, and Rama’s victorious return to Ayodhya. The entire presentation left the audience spellbound. The occasion was the ‘Geet Ramayan’ program organized at Dhole Patil Education Society, Kharadi, Pune, featuring the renowned artist Dattaji Chitale.

The event was graced by the presence of the institution’s Chairman, Sagar Dhole Patil, former MLA Kamaltai Ulhas Dhole Patil, and Secretary Uma Sagar Dhole Patil, along with prominent figures from the academic, social, and administrative fields.

The ‘Geet Ramayan’ performance featured Dattaji Chitale, along with singers Tushar Ritay, Prarthana Sathe, Dr. Bhakti Datar, and Amita Ghugari. Instrumentalists included Amit Kunte, Deepti Kulkarni, Omkar Patankar, and Uddhav Kumbhar. The program was compered by Mrunalini Chitale.

The event witnessed a large gathering, including the principal, teachers, professors, staff, students, and parents of Dhole Patil Education Society, as well as numerous residents from the eastern part of Pune.
