Mahananda Mukhde and Shilpa Sabnis Honored with ‘Tapasya’ Award by Swanandi Creation

Struggle is Inevitable for a Woman to Succeed: Dr. Maya Tulpule

Pune: “Women possess innate perseverance and the strength to face any situation. To achieve success in any field, women must struggle. Overcoming their shortcomings and weaknesses, every woman must stand firm,” said Dr. Maya Tulpule, Secretary of the Indian Medical Association and President of its Women’s Wing. She praised the unique and commendable concept of honoring women who stand as strong pillars of support behind individuals excelling in the social and cultural sectors.

Swanandi Creation honored Mahananda Pandurang Mukhde and Shilpa Milind Sabnis with the ‘Tapasya’ Award for their unwavering support to achievers in the fields of arts, literature, and social work. The award ceremony took place at the Shreeram Lagoo Rangavakash Auditorium. Dr. Maya Tulpule and senior artist Jayant Bhimsen Joshi presented the awards, which included a cash prize and a certificate of honor.

In the opening speech, event organizer and renowned singer Aparna Kelkar explained the significance of the award. She stated that the event aims to honor the women who stand firmly behind men excelling in social and artistic fields. It seeks to kindle a spirit of gratitude and respect for women in every household.

The latter part of the program featured a Kathak dance performance by Shraddha Mukhde, followed by a solo tabla recital by Kaushik Kelkar, accompanied by Amey Bicchu on lehra. The artists were felicitated by Sanjay Pandit. The event was hosted by Dr. Vandana Bokil-Kulkarni, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Makarand Kelkar.
