Spread the love Rajshree Dadarkar’s Art Exhibition by Dadarkar Art Studio Pune: An art exhibition titled Arpan has been organized to showcase rare and increasingly uncommon art forms such as terracotta, mosaic, and stained glass. Held in memory of Sanjay Dadarkar, this exhibition features the works of Rajshree Dadarkar and is being hosted from May 1 to May 4 at the Ravi Paranjape Studio in Model Colony. The exhibition will be inaugurated by architect Hari Agashe. Visitors can view the exhibition free of charge from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily until May 4. Rajshree Dadarkar stated that the exhibition includes around 200 to 250 artworks, featuring terracotta wall frames, stained glass designs, and various samples of mosaic work. A unique aspect of the exhibition is the introduction of a new concept—the “DIY Terracotta Kit,” which will allow visitors to experience creating their own terracotta designs. Rajshree and Sanjay Dadarkar began their artistic journey in 1978 at the Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya. After receiving training in pottery and ceramics, Sanjay Dadarkar established his own studio in Pune in 1980. Under the mentorship of Krishnamurthy Mirmira from Bhadravati, Sanjay made significant contributions in pottery, terracotta lamps, ceramic murals, and stained glass. His work can still be seen today in places like the Bal Gandharva Rangmandir and the Savarkar Tile Painting in Sarasbaug.
