Pune: A student’s academic progress in Class 10 and 12 is often measured by the marks they obtain. However, it is more beneficial if students and their parents choose subjects for further studies not just based on marks but on the student’s understanding and interest in the subject. This approach leads to better success in the future. Along with academics, students should also develop a skill or excel in a sport to achieve holistic success in life, said MLA Siddharth Shirole.

A felicitation ceremony and career guidance camp was held at the Samyak Vihar and Development Center in Bopodi to honor students who achieved remarkable success in their Class 10 and 12 board exams. The event was organized by the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Cultural Festival Committee, former Deputy Mayor Sunita Parshuram Wadekar, and her associates. MLA Shirole addressed the gathering at the event.

Present on the occasion were Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Cultural Festival Committee President Parshuram Wadekar, former Additional Collector Sharad Jadhav, President of Rotary Club of Pune Downtown Prof. P. N. Iyer, Rotary Club Medical Director Dr. Zimra Israel, West Maharashtra Youth Wing President of the Republican Party Shailendra Chavan, Director of Disha Computer Institute Kiran Lokhande, Pune City President of the Republican Party of India Sanjay Sonawane, and organizer and former Deputy Mayor Sunita Wadekar.

Prof. P. N. Iyer interacted with the students and provided them with career guidance. Dr. Zimra Israel shared insights on how girls can balance home and career to achieve success. The introductory speech was delivered by Parshuram Wadekar.

During the event, meritorious students from the Bopodi area were presented with the ‘Meritorious Student Award’ and gifted with useful educational materials by the dignitaries. Several individuals contributed to the success of this event including RPI Shivajinagar Vice President Nilesh Waghmare, Pune City RPI Vice President Bhimrao Waghmare, Rohit Adsul, Sachin Chavan, Rajendra Shinde, Surendra Anna Athawale, Balu More, Rupesh Pille, Sanjay Pille, Nandatai Nikam, Nirmala Kamble, Aarti Dethe, Usha Shelar, Vishal Nikam, Vilas Jadhav, Kailas Kamble, Sachin Chavan, and Sadiqbhai Sheikh. The event was compered by Adv. Dnyanesh Javeer, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Sunita Wadekar. The program concluded with the national anthem.
