Mujumdar to grace the occasion Pune – A biography chronicling the remarkable life and contributions of the late Ayurveda Bhaskar Vaidya Parshuram Y. Vaidya Khadivale, affectionately known as Dada, who made significant contributions in Ayurveda, social service, research, and through the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), will be released in Pune. The book, titled “Darshan Yogeshwarache – Ayurveda Bhaskar P.Y. alias Dada Vaidya Khadivale”, will be officially released on Friday, June 27 at 5:30 PM at Balgandharva Rangmandir, announced organizer Vaidya Vinayak Parshuram Vaidya Khadivale at a press conference. Sangeeta Vinayak Vaidya Khadivale, Nikhil Vinayak Vaidya Khadivale, and others were present at the press conference. The book will be released at the hands of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, and the event will be attended by Symbiosis International University Chancellor Padma Bhushan Dr. S.B. Mujumdar. Distinguished personalities from the fields of Ayurveda, research, and those associated with the RSS from across Maharashtra are expected to attend. Speaking at the event, Vaidya Vinayak Khadivale said, “This biography has been created with the aim of introducing the younger generation from all fields to the towering personality and multifaceted contributions of Dada. Through this, we want to present a true role model before them.” Dada established several institutions such as Janakalyan Blood Bank, Janakalyan Eye Bank, Hari Parshuram Ayurvedic Pharmacy and Clinic, Support Centers for orphaned children, a medicinal plant garden at Savitribai Phule Pune University, and Vandanīya Tai Apte Women’s Development Foundation for underprivileged women. He authored over 100 books on Ayurveda and the RSS. This book is an attempt to bring his vast work to public awareness. Sangeeta Vinayak Vaidya Khadivale added that Dada organized free health camps in over 125 locations across Pune and Beed districts, providing healthcare services to more than 1 lakh patients. He also launched a massive afforestation campaign in the rural Devbandh area beyond Palghar in Thane district. In addition, he spearheaded initiatives like the Vaidya Grantha Bhandar, the Maharshi Annasaheb Patwardhan Ayurvedic Award, Ayurveda Pracharak and Hindu Tanman, Vishwa Vaidya Sammelans, Annakoot Exhibitions, and more. At the Kotnis Clinic run by the Pune Municipal Corporation, he provided free services for HIV/AIDS patients for 30 years and conducted free Ayurveda training sessions in the Gurukul tradition for 40 years. The biography, spanning 320 pages, highlights the depth and diversity of his service. The launch event is open and free for all, and the organizers have invited the public to attend in large numbers.
