Spread the love Historic decision by Pune Seerat Committee Pune: Prophet Muhammad’s birth anniversary, which is of great significance for the Muslim community, falls on 5th September this year. However, since Ganesh Visarjan also coincides on the same day, the Pune Seerat Committee has taken an important decision to celebrate the Prophet’s birth anniversary on 8th September in order to maintain communal harmony. Pune Police Commissioner Mr. Amitesh Kumar welcomed this decision of the Seerat Committee and expressed his gratitude. Today, a joint meeting of Seerat Committee office bearers was held with the Pune Police Commissioner. Along with Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, Joint Police Commissioner Ranjankumar Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Police Bhajibhakare, and Seerat Committee representatives including Maulana Jamiruddin, Rafiuddin Shaikh, Siraj Bagwan, Asif Shaikh, Javed Khan, Abid Syed, Ansar Pinjari, and Maulana Khalid Nizami were present.
