“Every Student Must Become a Responsible Citizen”

Pune: Equipment and resources play a vital role for the armed forces. The modern tools being developed under the ‘Make in India’ initiative are of excellent quality. However, considering the future, this process will take time. Therefore, it is essential to strengthen our education system at present. Every student emerging from the education system must become a responsible and sensible citizen. The government too must make concrete efforts toward this goal. If that happens, India can become a developed nation within the next fifteen years, said Group Captain (Retd.) Abhijit Khedkar, former Air Force officer.
On the occasion of Vijayadashami, Sainik Mitra Parivar organized a home felicitation ceremony for a brave officer. Group Captain (Retd.) Abhijit Khedkar was felicitated at his residence in Model Colony. The program was graced by senior history researcher Pandurang Balkawade, Deeplakshmi Credit Society Chairman Shirish Chitnis, and Sainik Mitra Parivar’s Anand Saraf, among others.

The event was coordinated by Girish Potphode, Kalyani Saraf, Nitin Pandit, Suvarna Bodas, Shekhar Korde, Kiran Patole, Parag Thakur, Vishnu Thakur, and Girija Potphode. Group Captain Khedkar was honored with the traditional Pune Pagadi, shawl, and memento.
Pandurang Balkawade said, “Through this initiative, we are honoring the real role models of our time. Soldiers come from every corner of India and live together in true harmony. In the army, caste, creed, or language do not matter — the entire nation stands united.”

Anand Saraf said, “Since 1996, Sainik Mitra Parivar has been working actively for the welfare of soldiers. Soldiers who risk their lives for the tricolor deserve to be celebrated on every festival. Hence, we visit their homes and celebrate with them. Everyone must understand the life of a soldier to truly realize the difference between land and motherland,” he added.
