The boys and girls in the U-13 and U-15 categories gave brilliant performances across the three disciplines — Lead, Boulder, and Speed — winning the hearts of the audience. South Korea continued its dominance in Lead and Boulder events, securing a total of 7 gold, 7 silver, and 4 bronze medals. Indian climbers excelled in the Speed category, sweeping all the medals in the U-13 boys’ and girls’ divisions. Japan also performed exceptionally well in Boulder and Lead events. Players from Maharashtra and Jharkhand made special contributions, showcasing the strength of India’s youth climbing talent. During the closing ceremony, Surendra Shelke, President of the Maharashtra Sport Climbing Association, said: “The climbing complex established in Pimpri Chinchwad is one of the most advanced training centers in the country. It will produce international-level athletes from Maharashtra. Winning seven medals in this championship, including one by Pune’s very own Mili, is a moment of pride for us.” Shrikrishna Kaduskar, Chief of the IFSC Judges Panel, said: “It is a matter of great satisfaction that we successfully organized the Asian Championship. This event will prove to be a significant milestone towards Mission Olympic 2036. Over the past two decades, we have nurtured a climbing culture in Maharashtra. From the successful efforts at Annasaheb Magar Stadium (Chinchwad) and Raje Shivaji Climbing Wall (Shivajinagar), the journey to this world-class complex has been challenging. The fact that foreign players and coaches expressed confidence that Pimpri Saudagar can now host global-level competitions is a proud moment for Pune’s sporting culture.” Post Views: 10 Post navigation Quick Heal version26 Redefines Digital Privacy with Predictive AI and Real-Time Fraud Empowering Many Differently-Abled Citizens in Kothrud
