Confidence expressed that development has gained direction under the leadership of Chief Minister Fadnavis

Pune: Expressing confidence that the development of Purandar and adjoining talukas will move in the right direction due to the network of quality development works undertaken by the government in the rural areas of Pune district—especially in Purandar and nearby talukas—under the leadership of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the residents of Purandar have extended their gratitude to the State Government and the Public Works Department (PWD).

To mark this, a special thanksgiving meeting was organised jointly by Gokul Dahi Handi Utsav Committee’s Anand Sanjay Jagtap and KP Foundation’s Abhishek Rajmane at Shivajinagar, Pune. Several dignitaries were present on the occasion.

During the meeting, special appreciation was expressed for the Chief Engineer of the Maharashtra Public Works Department, Mr. Rahane, for the proper and speedy implementation of PWD schemes. A resolution was also passed to thank the Superintending Engineer of the South Division, Mr. Baviskar, and Executive Engineer Ms. Anuradha Bhandari, who are working under his leadership. Residents from Purandar, Velhe and Mulshi regions, along with Cyclothon participants and organisers, were present at the event.

It was stated that development works which had been stalled for the past 25 years have gained momentum over the last two to three years. The work on the Purandar airport is set to begin soon. In addition, a quality road network has been developed by the Public Works Department across Purandar, Bhor, Velhe and Mulshi talukas, which is expected to significantly accelerate the region’s overall development.
Satisfaction was also expressed over the cycle track developed for the international Cyclothon event organised in Pune, as it will benefit local citizens as well.

On this occasion, gratitude was also extended on behalf of the taluka’s residents to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Public Works Department Minister Shivendraraje Bhosale, MLA Vijay Shivtare, former MLA and senior leader Mr. Sanjay Kaka Jagtap, along with officials and employees of the Public Works Department and contractors.
