Spread the love Presenting historical truth is the responsibility of society– Daya Singh Pune – On the occasion of the 350th martyrdom anniversary of the ninth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, a special seminar on the theme “Haq-e-Aman” was jointly organized by IMCR, AIPM, and the Kendriya Singh Sabha. The seminar was held on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Cultural Hall, Maldhakka Chowk, near Maldhakka Railway Station, Pune. Prominent thinkers, leaders, judges, scholars, and social activists from the Sikh and Muslim communities participated in the seminar. Former Rajya Sabha MP Mohammad Adeeb, former Chief Justice of the Patna High Court Iqbal Ahmed Ansari, former Bombay High Court Justice B. G. Patil, Maulana Sajjad Nomani, MLA Abu Asim Azmi, Congress national spokesperson Gurdeep Singh Sappal, along with representatives of various Sikh organizations, addressed the gathering. Speaking on the occasion, Daya Singh said,“While writing history, only the Hindu and Muslim communities were highlighted, and the glorious history of the Sikh community was ignored. An attempt was made to erase nearly 200 years of rich Sikh history. As a result, disputes and misunderstandings in the name of society are increasing today. It is the responsibility of all of us to reduce these conflicts. We must firmly present the truth and create harmony in society. To prevent the nation from moving toward the path of hatred, we ourselves must take the initiative.” The martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib is not confined to any one religion; it symbolizes human values that stood firmly against injustice, oppression, and tyranny. In today’s social and political climate, his message of sacrifice, peace, coexistence, and human dignity holds even greater relevance. The seminar was organized with the objective of strengthening dialogue, harmony, and unity in India—a nation of diverse religions, languages, and cultures. Through this seminar, the organizers expressed their hope to further expand the dialogue of harmony, understanding, and peace within society.
