The march received an overwhelming and enthusiastic response from the residents of Mhalunge. The padyatra was inaugurated in the prominent presence of Maharashtra’s Minister for Higher and Technical Education, Chandrakant Patil. He expressed confidence that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is firmly committed to the development plan of Mhalunge village, and that the plan will be unanimously approved soon. The Bharatiya Janata Party is receiving strong and widespread support across all areas in the Pune Municipal Corporation elections. As part of this campaign, a padyatra was organized in Ward No. 9. The march began after seeking the blessings of Bhairavnath at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk and was formally inaugurated in the presence of Minister Patil. On this occasion, BJP candidates from Ward No. 9 — Lahu Balwadkar, Ganesh Kalamkar, Rohini Chimte, Mayuri Kokate — along with BJP Election In-charge Prakash Tatya Balwadkar, Prahlad Saikar, Rahul Kokate, Jyoti Kalamkar, Swapnali Saikar, Sharad Bhote, Rakesh Padale, Vinayak Chive, Shantaram Padale, and several other senior party office-bearers and workers participated in large numbers. Addressing the gathering, Chandrakant Patil said that under the leadership of the country’s popular Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with his all-round development vision, and the dynamic and inclusive governance of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the Bharatiya Janata Party has achieved success in numerous elections, supported by the overwhelming blessings of voters and the dedication of party workers. During the 2017–2021 period, several major projects were implemented in the Pune Municipal Corporation area. Projects such as the Metro, river rejuvenation, and equal water supply schemes have transformed the face of Pune today. He further said that the Chief Minister is strongly committed to the development plan of Mhalunge village and is in continuous dialogue with officials to ensure the village’s comprehensive development. He has also instructed officials to incorporate citizens’ opinions into the plan. As a result, the development plan will be unanimously approved, leading to holistic development of the village, Patil said. Patil also noted that in the Pune Municipal Corporation elections, the party had to deny tickets to a total of 42 aspirants. However, despite this, they have continued to work wholeheartedly for the party’s official candidates without any complaints. He cited the example of Swapnali Saikar, wife of Prahlad Saikar, who was a sitting corporator but could not be given a ticket. Despite this, both Swapnali Saikar and Prahlad Saikar have accepted the party’s decision and are working diligently for the party. Many other workers had also expressed their desire to contest, but tickets could not be given due to unavoidable reasons. Even those workers are now putting in sincere efforts to ensure the victory of BJP candidates. He added that after denying a ticket to one individual in Ward No. 9 to give an opportunity to new and capable leadership, attempts are being made by opponents to gain sympathy as if the sky has fallen. They are even criticizing Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. In reality, the BJP is a party of workers, where national interest comes first for every worker. BJP workers strive tirelessly to make the country strong, secure, and prosperous. This is what sets the BJP apart from other parties. Since the opposition realizes its impending defeat, it has resorted to criticism. Patil also expressed confidence that Lahu Balwadkar would win from Ward No. 9 with a record margin in Maharashtra.
