Spread the love Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Trust and Suvarnayug Tarun Mandal organize Vasantik Uti and Mogra Festival Pune: Devotees experienced the divine beauty of the beloved Lord Ganesha at the Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple, which was adorned with fragrant and colorful flowers as part of the Mogra Festival. A large number of Punekars gathered to witness and capture the mesmerizing floral-decorated form of Bappa.A grand floral decoration using approximately 5.1 million flowers—including mogra (jasmine), lilies, marigolds, hibiscus, roses, and champa—was created across the sanctum and the main hall. The entire setup gave the impression of offering a grand floral tribute to Lord Ganesha. The Vasantik Uti and Mogra Festival were organized by the Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Sarvajanik Ganpati Trust and Suvarnayug Tarun Mandal. On this occasion, the aarti was performed by saint-literateur Dr. Aarti Datar. Trustees, office bearers, and volunteers of the trust were present. The idol of Lord Ganesha was adorned with floral ornaments, including a trunk ornament (shundabhushan), a crown, and various flower decorations. Trust President Sunil Rasane stated that artisans had been preparing the floral decoration for the past two days. This year’s decoration included a wide variety of flowers such as mogra, roses, lilies, marigolds, chrysanthemums, gulchhadi, champa, rose petals, lotus, jai-jui, and hibiscus. Visitors were seen capturing the vibrant floral arrangements on their mobile phones. The silver idol of Lord Ganesha was anointed with “uti,” a traditional fragrant paste. Devotional bhajans as part of the Vasantik Uti and Mogra Festival were performed by the Akhil Bharatiya Warkari Mandal.
