Appointment of Mr. Milind Walunj as Pune District President of the National District Panchayat Association

Pune: Mr. Milind Nandkumar Walunj has been appointed as the Pune District President of the National District Panchayat Association. The appointment was announced based on the recommendation of Founder President Mr. Kailas Gore-Patil and Training Department Head Mr. Sharad Buddhe-Patil.

Recognizing his remarkable work at the Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti, and Zilla Parishad levels, the responsibility of Pune District President has been entrusted to Mr. Milind Walunj. He has consistently worked on social issues and effectively raised the concerns of members of local self-government bodies before the government authorities.

The National District Panchayat Association is an organization working across various states in the country for the rights of members of local self-government institutions. The association continuously follows up on issues related to members’ rights, dignity, and various demands. Office bearers of the organization expressed confidence that under the leadership of Mr. Milind Walunj, the association’s structure in Pune district will be further strengthened and its work will reach the grassroots level more effectively.
Speaking after his appointment, Mr. Milind Walunj said that he would strive to justify the trust placed in him by the organization and work towards expanding the association’s activities effectively in every taluka of Pune district. He also stated that the organization would actively work to present the issues of local self-government members before the government and ensure justice for them.
