Spread the love Month-long Religious, Cultural, and Social Programs Organized at Shri Mahalaxmi Temple Opposite Sarasbaug Pune: Charity holds a special place in Indian culture, particularly during Adhik Maas, which is considered highly auspicious for acts of donation and service. As part of the celebrations, a Book Weighing Ceremony (Pustak Tula) was organized at the Shri Mahalaxmi Temple. The books and notebooks collected through this initiative will be distributed as educational aid and scholarships to needy students from various schools in Pune. To mark the occasion of Adhik Maas, the temple has organized a month-long series of religious, cultural, and social activities. The Book Weighing Ceremony was one of the key initiatives under this program. The activities were coordinated by the temple trust under the leadership of Chief Founder Trustee Rajkumar Agrawal and Chief Trustee Amita Agrawal. Trustees Praveen Chorbele, Narayan Kabra, and Hemant Arnalakar were also present on the occasion. As part of the ceremony, the festival idols of Shri Mahalaxmi, Shri Mahasaraswati, and Lord Vishnu were ceremonially weighed against books. The Shri Mahalaxmi Temple Trust provides scholarships worth approximately ₹10 lakh to deserving and needy students. Books, notebooks, and educational supplies will be distributed to students studying in Marathi-medium schools across Pune.The month-long celebrations will continue daily after 5:00 PM until June 15 at the temple premises. The program includes several religious events such as a kirtan by renowned national kirtankar Dr. Charudatta Aafale, along with Shri Sukta Havan, Suvarna Kamal and Rajat Kamal Archana, Sahasra Bel Patra Archana, Tulsi Archana, Pushpa Archana, and Deep Utsav.The temple trust has appealed to devotees of the Goddess to participate in large numbers and take part in these spiritual and community-oriented celebrations.
