Grain Weighing Ceremony of Festival Idols Held at Shri Mahalaxmi Temple

Shri Mahalaxmi Temple near Sarasbaug to Donate Collected Grain to Orphanages

Pune: On the occasion of Purushottam Maas, a special Grain Weighing Ceremony (Dhanya Tula) of the festival idols of Shri Mahalaxmi, Shri Mahasaraswati, Shri Mahakali, and Lord Vishnu was conducted at the Shri Mahalaxmi Temple. All the grain collected through this initiative will be distributed to various orphanages.

The Dhanya Tula program was organized under the guidance of the Trust’s Chief Founder Trustee Rajkumar Agrawal and Chief Trustee Amita Agrawal. Temple trustees Praveen Chorbele, Hemant Arnalakar, and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

As part of the Adhik Maas (Purushottam Maas) celebrations, Shri Mahalaxmi Temple organized a month-long series of religious, cultural, and social activities. Devotees participated enthusiastically in these events. Through the Dhanya Tula initiative, the temple combined religious observance with social service by ensuring that the grain collected would be donated to needy individuals and children living in orphanages.

The temple trust stated that this initiative reflects the spirit of charity and community welfare associated with the sacred month and aims to extend support to underprivileged sections of society.
