‘Now Direct to the Global Market!’ A New Global Distribution Pathway for Marathi Films

Special Guidance Workshop for Producers, Directors, and Production Managers on August 4

Pune: With an aim to help Marathi films reach global audiences and create new international distribution opportunities for filmmakers, the Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Chitrapat Mahamandal, in association with Media Shippers, is organizing a special guidance workshop titled “Now Direct to the Global Market!”

The workshop will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the National Film Archive of India (NFAI), Law College Road, Pune. Participation is free of charge, but prior registration is mandatory.

Designed for Marathi film producers, directors, production managers, and film industry professionals, the workshop will provide in-depth insights into Global Distribution, Content Licensing, OTT Platforms, Broadcast Rights, Theatrical Rights, and International Sales. Industry experts will explain how Marathi films can effectively enter international markets, expand their commercial reach, and connect with audiences across the world.

Participants will also receive practical guidance on film registration, metadata management, international buyer and distributor outreach, and the complete process of presenting films on global digital and distribution platforms. Live demonstrations and real-world case studies will help attendees understand the technical and commercial aspects of international film distribution.
