Pune: Mangesh (Yash) Lohor, Director of Flying Scissor Unisex Salon & Academy in Pune and an international hairstylist, has brought pride to Pune and India by winning the prestigious Matrix Pro – Hair Transformer 2026 (MHT Men’s Color & Cut 2026) international competition held in Bangkok, Thailand.


Thousands of hairstylists from across India participated in the competition. In the semi-final round, Mangesh (Yash) Lohor was the only participant selected from Pune. In the grand finale, he impressed the judges with his modern haircut, creative hair color transformation, and exceptional technical skills, securing the championship title.


The competition was organized by Matrix Professional, and the winners were judged by an esteemed panel of internationally renowned experts, including Aalim Hakim, Sam James, Vipul Chudasama, Melroy Dickson, and Binaifer Pardiwalla.


Notably, Mangesh (Yash) Lohor had already won national-level championships consecutively in 2023, 2024, and 2025, and has now added an international title to his achievements, proudly representing India on the global stage.


In 2017, he established Flying Scissor Unisex Salon & Academy at Deccan Gymkhana, Pune. With its advanced training methods, industry-oriented curriculum, and quality services, the academy has emerged as one of Maharashtra’s leading institutions. Hundreds of its students are now successfully working in renowned salons across the country or running their own businesses.


Expressing his gratitude, Mangesh (Yash) Lohor thanked the Matrix Team, his mentors, family members, colleagues, students, and clients for their unwavering support.
