Kanya Pujan is an integral part of Navratri worship, during which young girls are revered as manifestations of Goddess Durga’s nine forms. Actress Pooja Pawar, Apoorva Sapkal, Amita Agrawal, Chief Trustee of the temple trust, Dr Trupti Agrawal, Trustee and Festival Head, and Trustee Pravin Chorbele were present on the occasion. As part of the ritual, the girls’ feet were ceremonially worshipped, and they were welcomed with aarti. Fragrant water infused with perfume was sprinkled on them, followed by the traditional foot-worship ritual. The temple trust also distributed refreshments and gifts to all the girls. As chants invoking the Goddess filled the air, the young girls, revered as embodiments of the divine feminine, participated in the ceremony. The happiness reflected on their innocent faces made the occasion particularly special. Amita Agrawal, Chief Trustee of the temple trust, said, “Shri Mahalaxmi Temple is a sacred abode of the three divine forms of the primordial feminine power — Shri Mahakali, Shri Mahalaxmi and Shri Mahasaraswati. These goddesses represent strength, wisdom and prosperity, and their different forms can also be seen in young girls. Every girl is a manifestation of the Goddess. However, girls should not be limited to being worshipped during religious ceremonies; they must move forward courageously in every field. They should pursue education and achieve great heights. Only then will the Goddess truly be pleased.” Post Views: 0 Post navigation AESL Launches Aakash INVICTUS to Strengthen JEE Preparation
