Pune: A seminar focusing on radiation safety and emerging trends in radiology will be held in Pune, organized by the Radiographers Association of Maharashtra and APT Medical Systems Pvt. Ltd. The seminar, titled “Radiation Safety and New Trends in Radiology,” will take place on Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM at the Pune Hospital Auditorium, as announced by Ketan Apte during a press conference.

The press conference was attended by Ramesh Tambe, President of the Radiographers Association of Maharashtra, former president Jagdish Jagtap, and directors Ketan Apte and Geeta Apte of APT Medical Systems.

The seminar will feature guidance from renowned senior radiologists Dr. Srinivas Natekhar, Dr. R.V. Paranjape, Dr. D.D. Shetty, and Dr. Lakhkhar. Additionally, experts in radiation safety and regulatory affairs from AERB, including scientific officer Harsh Desle, experienced radiographer Chandrakant Shahane, and biomedical engineers Ashok Shringarpure, Anil Jathar, Sameer Shringarpure, and Muthukumar will also share their insights.

The main objective of the seminar is to educate participants about safety protocols in radiology and emerging technologies. There will also be in-depth discussions from the perspective of radiographers on advancements in X-ray technology, developments in X-ray techniques, and the use of artificial intelligence in radiology. Experts from various parts of Pune district will participate in the event.
