Pune: The Maharashtra Youth Congress seems to be affected by internal factionalism. The newly announced appointments of the state branch were canceled within just 8 hours by the All India Youth Congress.

State Youth Congress President Kunal Raut had officially announced the new list of appointments on the official WhatsApp group at midnight. However, by morning, the Delhi headquarters of the Indian Youth Congress issued a letter canceling these appointments. The letter clearly stated that the appointments were made without any official approval, making them invalid. It also warned that disciplinary action would be taken against those responsible for these unauthorized appointments.

The canceled appointments included 20 state vice presidents, 8 working presidents, and several other positions. This development has left the party workers in confusion about whom to support. It has also exposed the differences between Kunal Raut and the leadership of the All India Youth Congress.

According to the central committee’s rules, any appointment, including those made by the state president, must have approval from the central committee. Since Raut did not obtain such approval, the central leadership acted immediately and issued an official statement from Delhi, canceling all the appointments within 8 hours.

The statement bore the signatures of National Secretaries Ajay Chinkara, Ehsan Khan, and Kumar Rohit. It emphasized that making appointments without proper approval is a serious violation and a disciplinary offense. The letter also warned that those responsible for these unauthorized appointments would be investigated and action would be taken against them.
