Pune: Essential health checkups such as blood pressure, weight, blood sugar, and hemoglobin were conducted at a free health camp organized by the Shrimati Lakshmibai Dagdusheth Halwai Datta Mandir Trust, H. K. Jehangir Medical Research Institute, and Sakal Social Foundation at Wednesday Peth. A total of 245 individuals received free health checkups during the camp.

The camp was held at Dattabhavan in front of the Datta Mandir to mark the temple’s 128th anniversary. The inauguration was conducted by Prof. Dr. Milind Bhoi, honorary member of the State Youth Policy Committee of the Maharashtra Government. Present on the occasion were Trust President Adv. Shivraj Kadam Jahagirdar, Executive Trustee Adv. Rajani Ukarande, Treasurer Yuvraj Gadve, Festival Head Mahendra Pissal, Deputy Festival Head Akshay Halwai, Trustee Adv. Pratap Pardeshi, Dr. Parag Kalkar, Sunil Rukari, Rajendra Balkawade, and others.

Trust President Adv. Shivraj Kadam Jahagirdar emphasized that while performing religious duties, priority should also be given to socially beneficial initiatives that support underprivileged communities. In addition to basic checkups, the health camp also included eye exams, ear-nose-throat (ENT) checkups, diagnosis of bone and spine disorders, and dental examinations. Women from the temple vicinity were provided with necessary consultations and free medications based on their health issues.

Special contributions to the camp were made by Sandhya Gaikwad and Dr. Deepali Ladkat from the H. K. Jehangir Medical Research Institute, Dr. Milind Bhoi (ENT specialist from Gayatri Clinic), Dr. Rohit Borkar from Satyashiv Global Foundation, and Dr. Amit Sarode from Sarode Clinic and Icon Clinic, along with H. V. Desai Eye Hospital.
