‘Shri Saraswati Karad Hospital’ Established by MAEER’s MIT Group of Institutions

Pune – In line with the motto “Service to patients is service to God”, the MAEER’s MIT Group of Institutions has established ‘Shri Saraswati Karad Hospital’ (SSKH) in memory of the late Smt. Saraswati Karad, mother of the institution’s founder and world peace advocate Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad. The hospital is located near Vishwashanti Gurukul School on Paud Road in Kothrud, Pune.

This state-of-the-art 200-bed multi-specialty hospital will be inaugurated on Monday, 23rd June 2025, at 10:30 AM by Hon. Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways. The announcement was made during a press conference by Dr. Suchitra Karad-Nagare (Co-Managing Trustee, MIT), Dr. Virendra Ghaisas (Executive Director), and Dr. Tushar Khachane (CEO of the hospital).

Distinguished guests for the event include Hon. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Dada Pawar, Hon. Minister of Higher and Technical Education Chandrakant Dada Patil, Hon. Minister of Water Resources and Disaster Management Girish Mahajan, and Hon. Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Medha Kulkarni. The function will be chaired by Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, Founder-President of MIT World Peace University.

Based on the principles of Care, Cure, and Heal, this modern multi-storey hospital is centrally located in the bustling suburb of Kothrud, Pune, to serve the public.

The hospital will offer 24/7 emergency services, including CT scan, MRI, mammography, X-ray, sonography, pathology lab, and pharmacy. It also has intensive care units (ICU) for various specialties such as general medicine, cardiology, neonatology, and surgery.

Specialist services will be available in departments such as internal medicine, general surgery, gynecology & obstetrics, orthopedics, joint replacement, spine disorders, psychiatry, dermatology, ophthalmology, ENT, pediatrics, oncology, neurology, and neurosurgery, among others.
