Symbiosis Skills and Professional University to Host Its 6th Convocation Ceremony

Pune : Symbiosis Skills and Professional University (SSPU), Pune, proudly announces its 6th Convocation Ceremony, on 16th October 2025 (Thursday), at Symbiosis Skills & Professional University Campus, Pune – Mumbai Expressway, Kiwale, Pune. A prestigious occasion that will celebrate the success and accomplishments of 1532 graduating students from various skill-based and professional programs, reflecting the university’s commitment to creating industry-ready professionals. In this event the School of Defence and Aerospace Technology will be inaugurated by Shri Rajnath Singh, Hon’ble Defence Minister, Government of India. A pioneering initiative designed to support India’s growing defence innovation ecosystem and contribute to the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

The University is honoured to host Shri Rajnath Singh, Hon’ble Defence Minister, Government of India, as the Chief Guest and Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Government of Maharashtra, as the Guest of Honour; Murlidhar Mohol, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation, Gol ; Chandrakant Patil, Minister of Higher and Technical Education, GoM; Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Minister of Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, GoM; Madhuri Misal, Minister of State for Urban Development Transport, Social Justice, Medical Education Minority Development & Aukaf, GoM, for this prestigious ceremony. Dr. S.B. Majumdar, President will preside over the function, along with Dr. Swati Majumdar, Pro-Chancellor, Symbiosis Skills and Professional University.

This convocation holds special significance as Symbiosis Skills and Professional University has achieved 1st Rank in the NIRF Rankings for the second consecutive year, reaffirming its leadership in skill-based higher education in India.

SSPU also added to its international collaborations partnership with Wor-Wic Community College (USA) and a student exchange program with Aalen University (Germany).

The ceremony will be featuring the conferring of degrees, Chancellor’s Gold Medal Awards, Atmanirbhar Award and Kushal Award. It will be presented to meritorious students by dignitaries.
