Shiv Lectures, Cultural Programs and Health Camp to be Organized

Pune: Suvarnayug Tarun Mandal will commence its Shiv Jayanti festival from Sunday (February 15). The Shiv Mahotsav, organized on the occasion of Shiv Jayanti, will be held from February 15 to 19, with daily programs at 7:00 PM at Jay Ganesh Ground, opposite Shrimati Laxmibai Dagdusheth Halwai Datt Mandir.


The festival will include Shiv lectures, the grand historical play Mrutyunjay, and a special health camp for differently-abled individuals, informed Mandal President Prakash Chavan.


On Sunday (Feb 15) at 3:00 PM, a free health camp for differently-abled persons will be organized, where free wheelchairs, tricycles, and assistive hand devices will be distributed. Daily lectures will be held at 7:00 PM. Author Ketan Puri will speak on “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Aurangzeb,” while Prof. Yashwant Gosavi will deliver a lecture on “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Today’s Society.”


On Tuesday, historian and Shiv lecturer Prof. Nitin Bangude Patil will deliver a special lecture. On Wednesday, Shivshambhu Pratishthan will present a demonstration of traditional Maratha-era martial arts (Mardani Khel), followed by a lecture by kirtankar Bajirao Maharaj Bangar on misconceptions and understandings from the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.


On Shiv Jayanti day, Shivsai Pratishthan Trust will present the grand historical play Mrutyunjay based on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
All programs are free and open to the public. Citizens of Pune are urged to participate in large numbers.
