Pune: Shri Mahesh Gupta, known as a young, dynamic and assertive leader, has been appointed as the President of the Pune City Traders’ Cell of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). His appointment has generated a renewed sense of energy, confidence and organizational strength among the trading community in Pune.

On this occasion, BJP Pune City President Shri Dheeraj Ghate, Maharashtra State General Secretary Shri Rajesh Pandey, along with key party office-bearers and workers, were present.
For several years, Shri Mahesh Gupta has actively and effectively represented the concerns of the trading community. He has maintained a strong presence and demonstrated effective coordination with government authorities, the municipal corporation, the police administration and various government departments.

He has consistently raised his voice against unjust actions targeting traders and has developed a working style focused not merely on submitting representations but on securing concrete resolutions to issues.
In the interest of improving Ease of Doing Business, he has taken firm follow-ups on matters related to Income Tax, GST, licensing procedures, local administrative hurdles and unnecessary penal actions. He has also provided active leadership on issues such as market infrastructure, parking facilities, security arrangements and trader protection.

Shri Mahesh Gupta has clearly stated that the BJP Traders’ Cell will not merely function as an organization, but as a powerful platform fighting for the dignity, safety and rights of traders. Under his leadership, it is strongly believed that Pune’s trading community will become more organized, empowered and politically influential.

His appointment is being regarded as a significant step toward providing strategic, decisive and result-oriented leadership for traders in Pune city.
