Spread the love Pune: Considering that education is the most powerful tool for empowerment and building peace, the organisations Aamhi Punekar and Nurture Works have taken the initiative to implement the campaign “Har Ghar Shiksha, Ghar Ghar Shiksha” in the border areas of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. The campaign will include educational and medical initiatives, benefiting lakhs of students living in these border regions, informed Hemant Jadhav, President of Aamhi Punekar, during a press conference. The press conference was attended by Dr. Prasad Khandagale from Henkel India Limited, Viha Bhattad (Founder of Nurture Works), Co-founders Arya Shah and Anaisha Golchha, Cosmos Director Mehul Shah (Janak Shah), and Aamhi Punekar trustees Vipul Kamble and Akhil Zhanjle, among others. Hemant Jadhav said that the initiative aims to bridge the educational and digital gap among students living in the border and conflict-affected regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. The campaign will be launched in the presence of Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, and Leh–Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta. The initiative is receiving special support from organisations including Kafila Foundation, General Zorawar Singh Education Trust, Support Trust, Mountain Valley, along with Cosmos (Janak Shah) and Henkel India Limited.Viha Bhattad stated that students in border villages will be provided comprehensive educational assistance kits, which will include school supplies, stationery, uniforms, and digital learning materials. The aim is to reach every student living in the border regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh and ensure “education for every home.” The initiative also focuses on empowering students with educational resources, digital tools, and creative learning opportunities. As part of the campaign, 15,000 educational kits including school bags, stationery, uniforms, and notebooks will be distributed, along with 5,000 first-aid kits and 500 digital tablets/iPads. Arya Shah added that the initiative will also focus on enhancing digital literacy and access to e-learning by distributing tablets preloaded with educational content. In addition, awareness and motivational programs highlighting the importance of education, creativity, and nation-building will be organized. To boost confidence and community participation among students, inter-school creative competitions such as art, essay writing, and quizzes will also be conducted. Educational kits will be distributed to eligible students in border schools located in Rajouri, Reasi, and Poonch districts, as well as Kupwara, Machil, Keran, and Tangdhar in the Kashmir division, along with border villages in Ladakh, Kargil, and Leh.
