Spread the love Pune: Responding to a growing demand for non-invasive fitness and aesthetic solutions, SkinEthics – Centre for Advanced Skin, Hair & Laser Treatments has introduced ‘Wonder Axon’, a technology aimed at muscle toning, fat reduction and skin tightening, at its Baner facility. Announcing the launch, dermatologist Dr Pallavi Ahire-Shelke said the technology, described as a first of its kind in India, offers a non-surgical approach to improving body composition without the need for intensive workouts. The announcement was made in the presence of doctors Kanchan Mule, Prajakta Sharma, Priyanka Bobde, and Baner-Balewadi Medical Association founder Dr Rajesh Deshpande. “With changing lifestyles and limited time for structured exercise, there is a growing inclination towards treatments that are both time-efficient and scientifically backed. However, fitness is not just about losing weight — maintaining and building muscle mass is equally essential,” Dr Ahire-Shelke said. She added that SkinEthics, with over a decade of presence in Pune, has been offering dermatological care focused on safety and evidence-based outcomes, and is now expanding into body contouring solutions alongside skin, hair and laser treatments. According to her, the Wonder Axon technology combines high-intensity neuromuscular stimulation with radiofrequency energy. “This dual mechanism helps strengthen muscles while tightening the skin, leading to improved body tone and gradual fat reduction,” she said. The treatment may be particularly useful for individuals who are unable to engage in regular physical activity due to medical conditions. It can also support patients experiencing urinary incontinence, diastasis, and those undergoing GLP-based therapies, where muscle loss is a concern, she said. Highlighting the clinic’s approach, Dr Ahire-Shelke said treatments are designed after assessing the underlying causes rather than focusing only on external appearance. “We aim to deliver personalised and sustainable results through scientifically guided protocols,” she said.
