Pune: On the occasion of the Sindhi community’s New Year and the 1075th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Sai Jhulelal, Sindhu Seva Dal has organized the Cheti Chand festival. This event will take place on Sunday, March 30, at Deccan College Banquet Hall, Deccan College Ground, near Bombay Sappers, Yerwada, Pune, as announced by Sindhu Seva Dal President Ashok Vaswani in a press conference. Former presidents Suresh Jethwani and Vijay Daswani, along with Secretary Sachin Talreja, Kiran Ferwani, Devendra Chawla, and Jai Pinjani, were also present.

Ashok Vaswani stated, “The Cheti Chand festival will feature cultural programs and a gathering of Sindhi community members. The event will begin at 7 PM with the worship and aarti of Bhagwan Sai Jhulelal, followed by social and cultural celebrations. A live concert by Devansh Entertainment’s ‘Sindhi Symphony Band’ and Sindhi Orchestra will be performed by 17 renowned singers, including Mumbai-based artists Shubham Nathani, Priyanshi Karwani, Ritika Sundarani, Aman Sundarani, and Mohit Shewani. Notably, Mohit Shewani, known as the ‘Kapil Sharma’ of the Sindhi community, will host the event. Additionally, a dance performance by Generation Next Dance Academy will be held, and the festival will conclude with a grand feast (Mahaprasad).”

The chief guest for the event will be Haresh Abichandani, Founder and Managing Director of Millennium Semiconductors India. More than 4,000 Sindhi community members from Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad are expected to attend the festival. “Our goal is to promote the development of the Sindhi community, raise awareness about our culture, and spread Sindhi traditions to a wider audience. Sindhu Seva Dal has been actively working towards this cause for the past 38 years,” said Suresh Jethwani.
