Pune – The Shrimant Dagadusheth Halwai Public Ganpati Trust and Suvarnayug Tarun Mandal organized a Mega Health Camp where 12,769 individuals received free medical check-ups and treatments under one roof across 64 departments. Patients from Pune and various parts of Maharashtra were provided with medical consultations, diagnostics, and distribution of medical supplies and medicines. A total of 405 experts and volunteers from 59 hospitals and 5 organizations served tirelessly for 9 hours during the camp.

The Mega Health Camp was held at Nu. M. V. High School and Junior College on Shrimant Thorle Bajirao Peshwe Road and was inaugurated by Gopal Gite of Shri Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan, Shegaon. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Trust President Sunil Rasne, Treasurer Mahesh Suryawanshi, General Secretary and MLA Hemant Rasne, along with other officials and volunteers.

The camp offered free services for heart diseases, cancer, kidney ailments, eye care, dental treatments, gynecology, pediatric surgeries, free Jaipur foot distribution for the differently-abled, blood tests, blood donation camp, ENT, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, orthopedics, various therapies, radiology, and hearing and speech therapy. Additionally, information was provided about how to benefit from health schemes of the Maharashtra Government and Pune Municipal Corporation, according to President Sunil Rasne.

General Secretary and MLA Hemant Rasne mentioned that the Trust has been striving for years to address common people’s concerns in education and healthcare. Through such initiatives, thousands have been supported. Last year, 72,483 patients received medical services, while 41,877 patients were treated the year before. He emphasized their commitment to reach even more citizens in the future.

Treasurer Mahesh Suryawanshi said that a cardiac ambulance, donated by Pinnacle Group Chairman and entrepreneur Sudhir Mehta, was also inaugurated during the event. This ambulance will be managed by Silver Birch Hospital and will provide services at 50% of the usual cost. This year, 9,162 individuals had registered for the Mega Health Camp, indicating a great response. Throughout the year, the Trust provides healthcare services through 223 affiliated hospitals and organizations. Free health checkups are also offered to students under the Jai Ganesh Vidyarthi Palakatva Yojana in various schools.

Shobha Jadhav from Dattawadi expressed her joy, saying, “The doctors examined me and also took measurements of my foot, so now I will be receiving a free prosthetic through the Trust. I’m very happy. The healthcare services of the Dagadusheth Trust are excellent, and I hope more and more people benefit from them.”

Continuous Free Service Through 13 Ambulances
The Trust operates 13 ambulances, which provide round-the-clock free services across Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and the district. The service also extends across Maharashtra with diesel expenses covered. These include mobile units for ear, eye, and dental check-ups as well as a cardiac ambulance. The Trust has encouraged citizens to take advantage of these services.
