Pune – “Whatever wealth, position and respect we receive is because of society. Therefore, giving back to the underprivileged and needy in society brings true mental satisfaction,” expressed Sandeep Khardekar, President of Creative Foundation. On the occasion of Tripurari Pournima, the Creative Foundation distributed 75 coffee mugs, 150 shawls, toys and various useful items to different social organizations.

Present on the occasion were Manjushree Khardekar, Trustee of Creative Foundation; Seematai Dabke, who has been working for the differently-abled for over 35 years; Prateek Khardekar, Kalyani Khardekar, Sandeep Fargade of Sai Seva Residential School for Intellectually Disabled, Shivane; Raju Naikawadi of Gyan Gangotri Residential School for Intellectually Disabled, Ambegaon; Santosh Pokale, Rajendra Ghavate of Enabler Charitable Trust, Ashok Botre, and other dignitaries.

Sandeep Khardekar further said that donation has been given great significance in our culture, especially during auspicious occasions. Donation does not only mean giving money; it can be in the form of food, clothing, service, knowledge, time, or other helpful items. Such acts purify one’s wealth (as per the scriptures) and maintain prosperity. Therefore, more citizens should come forward to help the needy, he appealed.

Seematai Dabke stated that the work of Creative Foundation needs to reach more beneficiaries. She expressed her willingness to act as a bridge between organizations in need and Creative Foundation. She also informed that on 9th November, through the Lions Club, a gathering of organizations working for the differently-abled will be held at New English School, Tilak Road, where 50 organizations are expected to participate.

Trustee Manjushree Khardekar said that the activities carried out through the Creative Foundation are a small effort in the service of society and help create positive energy. She noted the special significance of Tripurari Pournima — the day when Lord Shiva defeated the demon Tripurasura — which is also celebrated as the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism.

The Khardekar family assured that this initiative of the foundation will continue consistently and prayed for divine strength to ensure that this noble work remains ongoing.
