Spread the love Pune – Deputy Mayor of the Pune Municipal Corporation, Parshuram Wadekar, conducted an on-site inspection of municipal hospitals and dispensaries in the Bopodi and Aundh Road areas. During the visit, he emphasized strengthening public healthcare facilities. While inspecting Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Bopodi, instructions were issued to make the hospital fully operational on a war footing. Clear directions were given to the concerned department officials and staff to immediately provide updated medical equipment, essential amenities, and adequate manpower. He also visited Kai. Draupatibai Murlidhar Khedekar Hospital, where directives were issued to implement necessary improvements and corrective measures at the earliest.At Baburao Genba Shewale Dispensary on Aundh Road, the Deputy Mayor instructed that the facility should not remain limited to OPD services. On the lines of Khedekar Hospital, he directed that a maternity ward, physiotherapy center, ambulance service, and X-ray facility be started. Present during the inspection were Health Officer Dr. Meena Borade, Medical Officer of Ward No. 2 Dr. Deepak Pakhale, Aundh Regional Office Medical Officer Dr. Premlata Ghate, Medical Officer Dr. Ganesh Bagade, and Dr. Maithili Kulkarni from Shewale Dispensary. Several staff members and local residents were also present. Deputy Mayor Wadekar stated that “Providing quality and prompt healthcare services to citizens is the primary priority of the Municipal Corporation,” and clarified that regular reviews of the improvement works would be undertaken.
