Spread the love Jharkhand High Court Judge Calls on Students to Explore Legal Careers; Bar Council Members Felicitated at Jadhavar Group of Institutes’ National Convention Pune: The legal profession offers numerous career opportunities, and with changing times, the scope of law is expanding across various sectors of society. Students should therefore study law in depth and understand the opportunities and professional responsibilities associated with the field, said Justice Rajesh Kumar of the Jharkhand High Court. The second National Convention on Legal Practice and Career Opportunities was organised by Jadhavar Group of Institutes at its educational campus in Narhe, Pune. Justice Rajesh Kumar attended the convention as the chief guest. Other dignitaries present included former Bombay High Court judge Justice Shrikant Kulkarni, Principal Judge of the Pune Family Court Justice S. N. Rukme, Savitribai Phule Pune University Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr Parag Kalkar, Jadhavar Group of Institutes Vice-President Adv. Shardul Jadhavar, and Department Head Dr Sapna Dev. On the occasion, newly appointed office-bearers and members of the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa were felicitated. They included Vice-President Adv. Ranjana Bhosale; former president and member Adv. Vitthal Konde Deshmukh; member Adv. Ahmed Khan Pathan; member and former president Adv. Rajendra Baburao Umap; member Adv. Rajendra Anbhule; member Adv. Vikas Dhage Patil; member Adv. Madhavi Bal Potdar; and member Adv. Ganesh Shirsat. Justice Rajesh Kumar said that everyday life could not be imagined without law. He explained that law encompasses different forms, including human-made laws associated with divine principles, society-made laws and state-made laws. Referring to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, he said that the Maratha ruler had built a society, adding that the tradition of shaping society and working collectively was deeply rooted in Maharashtra’s culture. Justice Shrikant Kulkarni said that professional credibility is built through years of hard work. In the legal profession, initial efforts and hard work do not necessarily bring immediate recognition or fame. Students and young professionals should therefore not lose heart when they encounter obstacles on their journey towards progress. The desire for success must never outweigh a commitment to what is right and just. Professional life presents several challenging situations, and lawyers must uphold the fundamental principles of the legal profession without succumbing to pressure or the temptation of shortcuts. Justice S. N. Rukme said that building an ideal society is essential for ensuring social well-being and prosperity. Lawyers can accelerate this process by taking the initiative. Instead of focusing on negative aspects, they should work towards fostering positivity in society. Protecting society’s interests is not possible without first developing one’s own capabilities. Lawyers must therefore strengthen their skills and contribute meaningfully to the welfare of society. Adv. Shardul Jadhavar said, “Our goal is not merely to produce students who pass examinations, but to develop competent legal professionals who are confident in their abilities and socially conscious. Students must understand that a law degree is not just an academic qualification; it also carries a significant responsibility towards society and the nation.” Post Views: 3 Post navigation Shri Mahalaxmi Temple Performs Kanya Pujan of 108 Girls Representing the Divine Goddess
