Spread the love Pune: In a noble gesture aimed at ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder education, Pune-based Niranjan Seva Bhavi Sanstha has adopted the educational responsibility of 2,500 underprivileged students across Maharashtra. These include children from drought-hit Beed, Ahilyanagar, and rural parts surrounding Pune. The organization has been working for several years to ignite the light of education in remote areas by supporting the education of needy and poor children. As part of this mission, an Educational Kit Distribution Program for 1,500 students from Pune and surrounding areas will be held on Saturday, June 28, at 9 AM, at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch, near Swargate, according to Dr. Navneet Mandhani, President of the organization, during a press conference. Also present at the press meet were the organization’s secretary, CA Durgesh Chandak, along with Vaibhav Lamture and Bharat Vedpathak. CA Durgesh Chandak shared that Bharat Gite, Director of Toral India, will be the chief guest at the event. Other dignitaries attending the event include Krishnakumar Boob (Executive Director, Clean Science and Technology), Sanjay Naik (National Kho-Kho Player and MHADA Officer), Rajendra Kshirsagar (Member, Revenue Authority), Sandeep Chivate (Director, Maharashtra Boiler Department), and Dilip Shinde (Chairman, Sangam Krushi Seva Sanstha). Each educational kit contains 16 essential items that will be distributed to every student. The items include: School bag Umbrella Geometry box Cap Writing pad Pencil box Lunch box Notebooks Drawing book Single-line notebooks (200 & 52 pages) Double-line notebooks (52 pages) Water bottle Ball pens Colored pens These supplies are designed to meet the needs of the students for the entire academic year. The initiative began in 2012, aiming to support children of drought-affected and farmer suicide-hit families in Beed. It later expanded to include students from Pune, Raigad, and government schools in regions like Torna, Lohgad, Tung, and Nandgaon in Mulshi. The program has also been extended to underprivileged students in Jammu and Kashmir and Ahilyanagar. Many individuals are willing to help as part of their social responsibility, but often lack the right platform or direction. There are many children who should be in school and playing at this age, yet are deprived of education due to lack of funds. Niranjan Seva Bhavi Sanstha bridges this gap by providing such children with educational kits. This year, over 75 schools and institutions across Maharashtra are participating in the initiative, as shared by the organization.
