Pune: With the objective of promoting the life-saving cause of blood donation as part of its social commitment and honoring individuals and organizations that have made remarkable contributions in various fields, Sujay Pratishthan and Maitri Raktachi have organized a Grand Blood Donation Camp, Free Ayurvedic Health Check-up Camp, and Felicitation Ceremony on the occasion of the 13th death anniversary of Late Sujay Suresh Sakpal.


The event will be held on Sunday, 9 August 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Udyan Mangal Karyalaya, Khajina Vihir Chowk, Sadashiv Peth, Pune. This information was shared by Mr. Suresh G. Sakpal, Founder of Sujay Pratishthan, during a press conference.


Present at the press conference held at Pune Shramik Patrakar Bhavan were Mr. Kisan Bhosale (renowned entrepreneur), Dr. Vitthal Jadhav (Retired IPS, Special Inspector General of Police), Mr. Sunil More, Mr. Hemant Sonawane, Mr. Sagar Bhandari, Mr. Haribhau Sakpal, and Mr. Sudhir Sakpal (Founder, Sujay Pratishthan – Maitri Raktachi).


The event will feature a large-scale blood donation camp, free Ayurvedic health check-ups, Ayurvedic medicines at subsidized rates, and complimentary Kansa Thali massage therapy for citizens. Blood donation is regarded as one of the noblest forms of donation, as a single donor can help save multiple lives. The organizers have appealed to youth and citizens from all walks of life to actively participate in this noble initiative.
The programme will be presided over by Mr. Kisanji Bhosale, while the chief guests will include Mr. Meghraj Rajebhosale (President, Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Chitrapat Mahamandal), Mr. Shivkumar Salunkhe (IRS), and Dr. Vitthal Jadhav (IPS, Retired Special Inspector General of Police). Several distinguished personalities from the fields of administration, social work, medicine, films, journalism, industry, education, and other sectors will also grace the occasion.


During the event, individuals who have made outstanding contributions in social service, blood donation, journalism, education, arts, music, and community welfare will be honored with the “Sevaratna” and “Samaj Gaurav” awards. In addition, various social organizations dedicated to public welfare will also be felicitated, with the aim of recognizing their efforts and inspiring others through their exemplary work.


The initiative has received valuable support from several organizations, including Gramvikas Mandal–Ganjavane, Poladpur Taluka Residents Association, Shantidoot Parivar, Konkanvasiya Mahasangh, S.S. Dhotre Foundation, Yuva Asmita Foundation, Vishwa Hindu Maratha Sangh, Janakalyan Foundation, Sankalp Sarathi Sanstha, Konkan Bhumiputra/Kanya Yuva Samajik Pratishthan, Akhil Konkan Yuva Sangh Pune City, and Gavdevi Pratishthan–Ganjavane, among others.


The programme is being organized under the guidance of Mr. Suresh G. Sakpal and Mr. Sudhir G. Sakpal, founders of Sujay Pratishthan. The organizers have appealed to all citizens to participate in large numbers by donating blood, availing themselves of the free health check-up services, and attending the felicitation ceremony to encourage and support meaningful social initiatives.
