Spread the love Initiative in Collaboration with Social Responsibility Group; Also a Step Towards ‘Atmanirbhar Gram Yatra’ Pune: In collaboration with the Social Responsibility Group and Rashtriya Kartavya Abhiyan, the ‘Gaav Tithe Bhoomi Suposhan’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Gram Yatra’ initiatives are being launched in Kadus village, Pune district. The initiative will be conducted from March 30 to April 30, as informed by Vijay Varudkar. Under the Gaav Tithe Bhoomi Suposhan initiative, a public awareness campaign will be conducted to protect farmlands from becoming barren. The campaign will see participation from Farmer Producer Groups, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Gaushalas, as well as social and spiritual organizations. Various organizations such as Gram Vikas, Akshay Krishi Parivar, Bosch India Foundation, Rambhau Mhalgi Vidyalaya, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal, and other local self-help groups and social organizations are actively involved. The initiative will cover over 35 villages and 20 hamlets. As part of the Atmanirbhar Gram Yatra, efforts will be made to establish self-sustaining agricultural clusters. This initiative aims to effectively implement the central and state governments’ existing natural farming policies and introduce new agriculture and rural development schemes through community participation. Vijay Varudkar stated that the Union Agriculture Minister has highlighted the risk of 30% of India’s land becoming barren due to declining soil quality. Maintaining soil fertility is essential for sustainable farming. To address this issue and raise awareness, the Gaav Tithe Bhoomi Suposhan and Atmanirbhar Gram initiatives have been launched. Key individuals involved in planning and execution include Suresh Jadhav, Vinay Kanade, Rohit Balure, Madhukar Bhosale, Suresh Joshi, Sharad Dighe, Swapnil Gangane, Sunil Vharamble, Nandkumar Bhope, Mahesh Kad, Santosh Suravase, Kisan Gargote, and many others.
